Feature film Fanboy - a rock and roll thriller - follows the fictional band Xenos (comprised of musicians Arabella Harrison, Alia Jyawook, John Cota, Thomas Kitsos, Alberto Jurado and Ben Johnson) on tour, along with the obsessed superfan who is following them. Directed by Ben Johnson, Fanboy features a cast of San Diego musicians shot on location in local music venues.

After debuting at regional drive-in movie theaters during the COVID-19 pandemic, the film was released on Amazon Prime.

The double 12” vinyl LP and streaming variants of the soundtrack features songs by Agonista, Bartenders Bible, Big Business, Black Heart Procession, The Cherry Valence, Crime Desire, Death Eyes, Grammatical B, Havnauts, Hexa, The Hot Snakes, The Long & Short Of It, Manuok, Marsupials, Milky Wayne, Miniaturized, Montalban Quintet, Mr. Tube, Red Fang, Scary Pierre, Tourettes Lautrec, and Tulpa Luna.
